School Shootings #8

The denial of metal detectors and gunpowder-sniffing Labradors in schools just gets curiouser and curiouser. The Week magazine wrote about the Houston Chronicle urgently, seemingly, calling for measures "the whole nation knows will make a difference." It's reporters and columnists must be idiots because all they have to do is look at what the elites are doing to protect themselves if they can be induced to get off their lazy asses. Just go to a  courthouse or a Social Security Office and you will encounter walk-through metal detectors and security guards with guns. That's what measures are making a difference, yet these newspaper idiots are gaming you as if the answer to school security is so difficult.
So why are the elites trying to con you and ignore putting up detectors and labs at the entrances to schools? My first hypothesis was that the collectivists think they have a vehicle - school shootings- that they can ride all the way to a ban on gun ownership by the individual. The collectivists are at war against the individual and disarming him would be a martial and psychological victory over him. My second hypothesis is that many collectivists do not want to spend the money necessary to install, maintain, and man detectors and gunpowder sniffing dogs for those who get their guns made with 3-D copiers plus providing a needed redundancy to detectors as all thing fail sometimes.
One huge group of collectivists who are also in the line of fire at schools are teachers. I suspect teachers if not consciously, then unconsciously, are thinking, "We can't be spending money on detectors and dogs! I want to get a big, fat raise!" It is hard to believe that teachers who are victims at school shootings are not demanding detectors and dogs instead of walking out of school for raises, but there are several reasons. First, teacher and social workers ( I'm one of the latter) score at the bottom in IQs in the professions. Secondly, people are pathetically timid and adaptable (again, I can attest to that, and I am only doing this assertive, determined effort here to keep the harpies of remorse from eating my alive at night in bed. I can't fool myself like the star of Manchester By The Sea who can only get release from his harpies by getting into fights with innocents at bars.) Teachers may be lions in the classrooms but frightened rabbits outside of them. Thirdly, teachers will be punished if they get outside of their union's box. There's a cost to everything. Teachers have long ago sacrificed being free and being a professional to the security, remuneration, and control of being union members. Fourth, schoolteachers are mainly collectivists. They go with the herd even with the slice of lemmings who go over the cliff. They're not going to be the nail that sticks out.
It is bizarre that teachers, who are killed in school shootings, would not be demanding metal detectors and gunpowder-sniffing dogs, but there are powerful reasons for doing that as I've listed. Plus, not so smart people are the most numerous users of the most primitive defense mechanism there is: denial as in
"Oh, it's not going to happen to me so I'll continue my boycott for higher wages instead of detectors and dogs." Dead schoolteachers don't get to spend their raises.
