"In Cold Blood" Expanded
In Cold Blood includes corrupt government employees and the author, Truman Capote, now according to this morning's Wall Street Journal. Capote didn't reveal that convicted killer Richard Hickock had written with Kansas journalist Mack Nations his own book about killing the family at the farmhouse. Hickock was writing it in installments at his prison and mailing them to Nations. After two hundred pages, prison officials decided that death row inmates couldn't have visitations or correspondence. The IRS charged Nations with tax evasion.
Sadistic, power-mad government employees had decided to shut them down as they didn't want the truth to get in the way of hanging Hickock or to allowing Capote to make millions off his book maybe ( who knows what and how evil- sick their motivations were?). Nations eventually was eventually found innocent of the IRS charges but by then he had lost his newspaper job and all his money.
He did complete the book which was titled High Road To Hell. Ironically, that is what writing the book caused him. The book was rejected by Random House as it had accepted Capote's In Cold Blood. Apparently Nations didn't submit the book anywhere else. Perhaps, he was beaten down by then. He got a job at a small newspaper in Colorado and in two years died supposedly in a single car accident. Bureaucrats are so tidy!
Now In Cold Blood has expanded to include the long arm of corrupt government employees and the lowness of Truman Capote never revealing that Richard Hickock was writing his own book in prison. Instead, he libeled Hickock by writing that he was whiling away his remaining time of earth by reading erotic novels and law books.

Sharia Islam and Sex
What is child protective services in America going to do when the Sharia Muslims start mutilating their female children- cutting off pieces of their clitoris and labia, sometimes even "erasing" them by sanding them off? What about sewing their ureters so tightly that they can only drip instead of having a stream when they pee? Do you "infidels" know that if a girl doesn't have her ureter sown up and has a steady stream, other Sharia Muslim girls can hear that in the bathrooms and call that girl a whore? So what are American social workers doing about this craziness? Probably turning a blind eye to it. But what do you do if a Sharia Muslim girl objects to having her sex organs mutilated in school, and it is reported by the teacher to social services? Is she the property of her parents and must be mutilated because it is part of their paranoid religion from the 8th Century? How about the social worker getting a court order that no mutilation be performed on the girl until she reaches the legal age at which she can decided if she wants the surgery? You "infidels' do know that this is a practice Sharia Islam insists on so the paranoiac men away on jihad will be more comfortable, knowing that the mutilation makes having sex less enjoyable, even painful so their wives will be more likely to remain faithful?
Of course these paranoiacs could care less that sex is painful for the women.
Sharia Islam is based on the submission of women to mutilation, insecurity, and lack of individual rights. It is a complete abrogation of the sanctity of the individual. All this is necessary so the the pitiful little man can delude himself into thinking that he is the cock of the walk, just like Hitler.
We are no longer living in the 8th Century out in the desert where life is unbelievably brutal. We don't live in isolated tribes any more. Our life is not tribal but individual. In the 8th Century in Arabia, life was tribal. The tribe was like an organism. To protect itself and to find food and more women so there would be no inbred freaks, young men had to be strong and savage. Everyone depended upon them. If young men weren't strong, the tribe would be conquered and the women seized and the men killed. Thus, strong men were rewarded by women. Women were proud to be awarded to good warriors because they kept them from being taken as sex slaves who also doubled as work slaves. But this is no longer the 8th Century. We have evolved from tribes to individuals with rights. Sharia Islam refuses to recognize that and continues to live in a distant, dark past. What sane person would want to live there?

What's Up
I got a call from a friend urgently asking for a prayer for a young family member who had just had what looked like a heart attack. I called back, and the child had been transferred to a better hospital. The prayer had been that she get admitted to the better hospital in spite of the bureaucrats saying it was covered on her insurance. My friend said that God had "blown down doors" and made it possible for her to be admitted.
Because I am very literal minded, I made myself look at that event in the abstract and immediately ran into problems with it. That is because there is supposedly a child dying of starvation in this world every six sentences. Why would God blow down doors to a better hospital but let millions of others die of starvation? Would you really tell one of the grieving mothers of these dead babies, that God had blown down doors for your child to get to a better hospital? Why would he favor your child over others? If you want to go Old Testament and reply that he is a capricious god, then I would ask you what evidence do you have for this capricious god even existing. As the old lady used to say, "Where's the beef?" Looked at in the abstract - as a principle- it seems pompous to credit God with any act considering the horrible suffering in the world. Why did he help you? Because you're so much better than the millions of babies and children dying of hunger?

What's Up?
"I took Pogo over to the office building, and he pooped on the back lawn. I didn't have a bag so I kicked a cave into the snow and kicked the poop into the cave. Then I told a neighbor about it at my apartment complex (poor people have no money, hence no new experiences, and nothing to talk about but where your dog pooped last!). Lo and behold, in a day or so, one of the apartment staff came up to my apartment and chastized me for not having a bag. That neighbor had reported me to the apartment staff!"
This sounded to me like the secret police in a dictatorship like Communism or Sharia Islam, and I responded, "She had no business talking to you about what you did off property. Clear and simple. Tell her so, say good-bye, and shut the door."
Upon reflection, I realized that it was not that simple because our apartment complex depends on the the office building staff to allow our cars to park in their parking lot once in a blue moon for such occasions as when our parking lot is re-surfaced. We have a fence between the two properties but maintain an open gate. It is important that we be good neighbors, and there is justification for our staff to talk to tenants. But it's still unpleasant and intrusive. And who would report that to staff?

What's Up?
Brattleboro, Vermont, USA
"Then you're a conservative."
"No, a conservative wouldn't support the right to take drugs. I'm more a libertarian except the idiots don't believe in a national defense [proactive]."
"Did I hear you say someone was an idiot?"
"Yes."
"You can't say anyone is an idiot because that means you are smarter than they are."
"I am, at least in national defense."
"You don't mean any drug, like heroin, do you?"
"I do. If you're free to kill an unborn baby, you're free to take anything you want, including poison."
"That's absurd."
Dear Reader, do you see the hypocrisy? I can't call people dumb, but she can because she's right. She's the authority, not me. Authoritarianism, not reason, is the basis for collectivism and political correctness.
Here's another this week: "I found it obscene that this lovely, very submissive eleven year old child was in the pulpit reading something from the Bible about the Jews getting discouraged about wandering in the desert for forty years and having the courage to complain about it. And then what does God do? He sends poisonous sea snakes to bite and kill many of the Jews.
"Well, you don't have the context."
"Context is everything," I agreed.
"If you had read on, you would have learned that God had erected a monument, and if you looked at that monument, you would have been saved."
This woman described herself as a Christian Counselor who worked with people every day. We discussed evidence versus faith for religion, and next time I will say,"You know, if you were born in Somalia, you'd be a Sharia Muslim for the very same reasons you have become a Christian in Vermont: Faith. And you'd be defending an evil religion that wants to kill the infidel, clothe women in tents, cut off their genitals, and keep everyone in mind-control on pain of death. You'd support all that evil because of your faith, just as you're doing with Christianity now. That's what happens when you don't use the reason we have evolved to have. You believe in magic. And you should think about that when you counsel people because they are at a fragile point in their lives, and what you say to them has a big impact. You owe it to them to be reasonable."

What's Up?
In order not to listen to collectivists on the radio here in the Far North,
I began listening to sports radio. It was a relief to hear things judged almost solely on their merits and not to have to hear humans trying to force other humans to think and do the same sexless, joyless way. That has all changed with Trump. Suddenly sports is completely political at the insistence of the collectivists. The hysterics du jour is about how many Patriots are going to boycott with White House reception. Collectivist politics has become totalitarian:
collectivists are insisting that everything you do is political. It is totally political. You can't go to the White House to be received by the president because you are saying you are a sexist, a racists, and everything else that is bad. Of course, collectivists are also hostile to tradition except the Soviet May Day Parade. I implore the Patriots to ignore the crazies and honor the tradition of winners being received at the White House. Of course, the collectivists are against anyone else winning but them. Such crazy children!

Why Islam Not A Religion
"To be a Muslim is to take an oath of submission to the Sharia state, and that oath prevents you from claiming the human rights that are the priority of any true religion. That is why Islam's greatest enemies are Christianity and Judaism and nations that are founded on their values." page xix, Cruel And Usual Punishment by Nonie Darwish
In fundamental or radical Islam, you do not exist except as an instrument of the supposed Allah's will and others. You do what he and others tell you to do either through what is written in the the Koran, the Hadiths supposedly from Muhammed's actions and words, the fatwas issued by the clerics, and other writings and sermons by learned people.
You do not question or reason. You, as a human being, check out! You, the human being- a living person- check out to become an unquestioning instrument for others. Do you really think others are so important that you have to blank out for them? The others want you to blank out so you won't say, "Hell, no! What you want me to do counts no more than what I want to do! Besides, what you want me to do is crazy! That's why you insist I blank out, that I don't question you. Because you are crazy as well as your ideas! They are so crazy you're ashamed to have them questioned because they can't stand up. Stand down, crazy person!"
